(1937) is the first full-length animated feature in color and with sound, one of Disney's greatest films, and a pioneering classic tale in film history. It was the first commercially successful film of its kind and a technically brilliant, innovative example of Disney animation. In addition to winning a special Academy Award in 1939, it was also the first film to release a motion picture soundtrack album. Walt came up with the idea for "Snow White" when he was only 15, working as a newsboy in Kansas City. He saw a major presentation of a silent film version of the tale starring Marguerite Clark. Regardless of your age, this is a treasure not to be missed. The original Disney 1937 35mm version (83 minutes in length).

Le Grande Illusion, One of the most powerful and poignant films of all time. Although the story is of WW1 prisoners of war and their captors, the tale goes far beyond that. Magnificent acting by cinematic artistry weaves a tapestry of life in challenging circumstances. This is one of the greatest works of director Jean Renoir, son of famed artist Auguste Renoir. The issues are timeless. A masterpiece. The grand illusion being that that was the war to end all wars, although the film is not about war but about the consequences of war, it is not violent.

An astounding documentary about surfers in their golden years, the oldest living American surfer was John H "Doc" Ball, who surfed until he was 94, and passed in 2001. Throughout his final years he skateboarded and surfed without a wetsuit in Shelter Cove. He rode the waves since 1929, was the first surf photographer, a dentist, and wrote a photo book about early California Surfing. This is a look at the vitality of this local legend, as well as many other men and women who keep on surfing. This is an inspiring story for those of all ages.
Co-producer, writer, and director: David L. Brown. Surfing for Life has won 15 international awards.
As a special treat, archived 8mm footage of surfing in Shelter Cove in the 1960s, taken by Doc Ball, will be spliced together, put on DVD and shared with those who loved him, or would have if they had had the pleasure. This is to honor a beautiful soul and inspiration.
